OUR STORY & TEAM

The Mom Cave was officially founded in 2022 by Jordyn Tynes and Brittany Rice, two mothers and community advocates who were inspired to create a supportive space for families. The idea began in 2021 as a small social group for moms to unwind, connect, and find relief from the isolation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. As the group grew, so did the requests for baby essentials like diapers, wipes, and clothing. Recognizing a greater need in the community, Jordyn and Brittany expanded The Mom Cave into a nonprofit organization focused on helping families access the support and resources they deserve.

Since then, The Mom Cave has evolved into a family-centered organization, serving not only mothers but also fathers, grandparents, and other caregivers. We are committed to creating an inclusive village where families can receive essentials such as diapers, wipes, baby clothes, car seats, strollers, and more. Our programs also include community baby showers, emergency item assistance, resource fairs, and educational workshops designed to empower and uplift families.

Our leadership team reflects our mission and values. Founders Jordyn Tynes and Brittany Rice serve as Executive Directors, leading with compassion, dedication, and hands-on involvement in the community. Felicia Reshon-Curry, our Executive Secretary and Board Member, plays an integral role in organizational operations and community outreach. Brittany Ayers, our Board Treasurer and Program Director, ensures financial responsibility while coordinating impactful programs that directly support families in need.

At The Mom Cave, we believe every family deserves access to essential resources and a supportive network. Our team works tirelessly to make sure no family feels alone on their parenting journey.
